Project Description: Aurora Kills is a saga of first-person shooter game modes of the action genre and based mostly on the different types of conventional game modes offered by this type of game. The player has the possibility to choose different levels with different scenarios and different objectives to complete such as: Capture the Flag, Gridiron, Team deathmatch among others.
Tasks Description: With the help of a first-person shooter framework, I learned how to work with the system developed by the company to generate a first-person shooter game.
Making use of already developed components such as the controller or weapons, I took advantage of the most important features of the framework and added fundamental elements for the development of the game such as: the artificial intelligence of the enemies, the different types of game objects present in the game modes such as: flags, towers, stations, tables and other props. The focus of this game was mostly on programming and level design, since there was no need to pay so much attention to the aesthetics of the elements. The game modes present complex systems of operation that were developed through code, the artificial intelligence behaves differently in each of the game modes with behaviors such as: Patrol, Following among others. The counters, the user interfaces, the behavior of each of the key elements such as flags and the behavior of the enemies based on this was developed through complex programming systems in C# using the libraries and components of Unity Engine.
The work with the level design was even more extensive since it was necessary to think the scenarios to complement the type of game mode in question. It was a challenge to get, develop and model assets so realistic and so coherent with the aesthetics of the framework.
Scenario for the Kill Confirmed game mode. Players must eliminate their opponents and confirm by collecting medals the casualties caused in the enemy team.
Scenario for the game mode "Zombie Mode" which is about surviving the waves of enemies that become more and more complicated.
Aurora Kills marked the beginning of multiplayer gaming for Interlude Game and created a new type of protocol known as "Harvest". It received an audience rating of: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐.
It was the most downloaded game of the protocol exceeding 1k and was the game that boosted the value of Interlude's cryptocurrency by the highest percentage and for the longest number of weeks.
